Warranty Coverage

HIDEAWAY Inc ("HIDEAWAY") warrants to the original purchaser that its outdoor lifestyle products, including planters, gates, fences, railing, pergolas, privacy screens, privacy planters, mounting brackets, and posts, manufactured from aluminum, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship affecting performance. Performance is defined as maintaining structural and mechanical soundness and avoiding substantial alteration in appearance.

Warranty Period

This warranty is valid for the lifetime of the product from the date of purchase, limited to the original purchaser.

Coverage Scope

The products are guaranteed against defects that render the product unsound structurally or mechanically or substantially alter its appearance.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

General wear and tear.
Powdercoating wear.
Damage post-shipping from HIDEAWAY,
Damage from fire, weather events (e.g., lightning, tornado), corrosive fumes,
Components or labor from third parties,
Issues resulting from improper fitting, sizing, misapplication, or installation.
Structural failure due to external structures.
Minor scratches or minor visual imperfections.
Neglect, improper use, lack of maintenance, or improper cleaning.
Accidents, abuse, or modifications by the customer.
Improper pre-installation storage.
Re-installation after original installation.
Damages worsened by delayed action or claim.
Exposure to harsh or extreme environmental conditions.
Labor for removing, installing, or replacing the product.
Any chemical or mechanical alteration of original surfaces.
Any other causes beyond HIDEAWAY's control, including acts of God exceeding product design and testing specifications.
Certification and approval indicate compliance with standards at the time of manufacturing but do not guarantee performance under all conditions over time.
Labor for removing, reinstalling, or refinishing the product.
Shipping costs for returns.
Normal maintenance.

Claim Process

Warranty claims require:

Written submission with original sales receipts, proof of installation, and photographs of defects to clientcare@hideaway.inc.
HIDEAWAY reserves the right to inspect and test products claimed as defective.
Immediate claim submission upon detection of defect.
No repair without HIDEAWAY's written consent.
Remedies

HIDEAWAY's obligation under this warranty is, at its sole discretion, to:

Provide replacement product or components; or
Refund the purchase price.
Replaced items are warranted for the remainder of the original period. Replacements may differ in color or style if original products are discontinued. This is the sole remedy under this warranty.

Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable and limited to the original purchaser.

Governing Law

This warranty is governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada.

Limitation of Liability

HIDEAWAY's liability is limited to repair or refund as stated. HIDEAWAY shall not be liable for incidental, consequential, indirect, special, or punitive damages, including damages to property, loss of use, labor costs, relocation expenses, loss of profits, or emotional distress. Liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the defective product. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so these may not apply.
